Built and tested for PW students.
Follow these six steps once, and every future lecture becomes a locked-in, distraction-free session. Each step has a short walkthrough clip.
Downloading LectureLock
First, grab the latest version of LectureLock from the download page and run the installer.
Note on installation
Because this is a brand-new app published on 23 July 2026, Windows Defender or Edge may flag it as “uncommonly downloaded”. It is 100% secure — simply click Keep → Show more → Keep anyway to install it.Install PW as a web app (crucial!)
To avoid browser-tab distractions, it is highly recommended to install the PW Video Player as a standalone web app.
- Open any lecture on the PhysicsWallah website.
- Click your browser menu (the three dots) and install the window as “PW Video Player”.
Setting up the whitelist
If you need to open any other websites or apps during your lecture, you must add them to the whitelist before starting the session. If you have any difficulty adding an application, the clip below walks through the Detect Window flow.
Pro tip
Turn on “Match by title only (for browser tab)” if you are adding a specific browser tab to the whitelist.Starting a session
Once your settings and whitelist are configured, open your lecture app and start the session without Strict Mode first to get used to how it feels.
Switching lectures
Need to move to the next class? Use the Switch Lecture feature — it gives you a 30-second window to switch lectures without ending the session.
Ending a session (Strict Mode)
You can end a session by clicking the button beside the timer. However, if Strict Mode is on, you will have to type out a long paragraph before it lets you exit.
Warning
Don't try to escape the software by force while it is in active development. Always use the End Session button.Happy learning.
