Discipline, engineered into every layer.

LectureLock is not a timer with a nice icon. It is a set of enforcement systems that work together to make quitting harder than finishing.

Enforcement

Aggressive App Blocker

LectureLock blocks everything by default. The moment a session starts, any application that is not on your whitelist gets closed and background distractions are shut down — so you cannot wander the internet when you should be studying.

  • Closes unwhitelisted apps the instant they open
  • Whitelist Editor with one-click window detection
  • System taskbar and utility panel hidden during a session

Companion Chrome Extension

Our companion Chrome extension actively blocks distracting websites like YouTube and Instagram during your study session, so you can watch lectures in ordinary Chrome tabs and stay perfectly focused. It runs silently and communicates securely with the desktop app.

  • Watch lectures in standard Chrome tabs — no PWA required
  • Blocks YouTube, social media and other distractions
  • Runs silently, syncs with the desktop session

Anti-Pause Engine

We prevent the PhysicsWallah video player from automatically pausing when you click away to read notes, or when LectureLock manages your windows. It also blocks the Spacebar and K shortcuts — because if you cannot pause, you cannot procrastinate.

  • Video keeps playing while you switch to notes
  • Blocks Spacebar and K pause shortcuts
  • Can't pause means can't procrastinate

Focus Lock

Always-On-Top Focus

LectureLock ensures your class stays front-and-center. Try to open another app and it instantly brings you back to your lecture. With Lock to Lecture enabled, the back button is blocked and you cannot leave the lecture window at all.

  • Lecture window stays pinned above everything
  • Lock to Lecture blocks the back button
  • Auto-reopens itself if you close it mid-session
Lecture · always on top

Snapped back.

You cannot leave the lecture window.

Session controls

Tune the pressure to your willpower.

Six switches decide how hard it is to walk away. Start soft, then turn everything up as your discipline grows.

Session Duration

Set how long you need to stay locked in — from a quick revision to a full 120-minute lecture block.

Strict Mode

No early exit unless you type a long paragraph of random text. Unkillable via Task Manager.

Lock to Lecture

Can't leave the lecture — the back button is blocked and other apps minimize instantly.

Block Pause

Blocks Spacebar and K so video lectures never pause. Requires the companion extension.

Run in Background

Closing with the 'X' minimizes LectureLock to the system tray instead of quitting.

Schedule

Line up your sessions in advance so your study blocks start automatically.
